Why does my Asendia tracking number stop working once the package leaves the U.S.?

In order to reduce the cost of shipping for our Canadian members, we are now using different service through Asendia. This new service meets industry standards for reliability and has the same transit time as the previous service. The difference is that it offers limited tracking visibility once the package has left the U.S.

Our previous Asendia service offered comprehensive door-to-door tracking information, but at a premium cost. Our goal is to provide our members with the best experience possible. As our business expands, we will have the ability to negotiate better rates with larger couriers. This will eventually let members choose their courier/service of choice at the time of checkout. 

We understand that tracking visibility is desirable, but we determined that the lower cost of shipping was of greater benefit to our members at this time.
